Yesss, this can really be a problem to some. But fortunately I didn't cook a lot when I lived here. And when I cooked, I would turn on the exhaust and open the windows. 😊

It is safe, the student life in Sweden is really friendly and fun, you meet new people almost everyday. Its safe. Coming from a Örebro Uni student from Sweden. People in Sweden are really humble, kind and welcoming.
i’ve lived on campus for over 3 years and there were never any issues!

Hi! I think it depends. But, generally, Sweden is quite expensive for international students. Around Jönköping University, you can find some affordable restaurants with student discounts. 😊

Hi! Which 'computer engineering' branch are you studying? Software and apps or the other one? I'm thinking of applying but I am unsure which one to pick. Also, do you live in the Bymarken studenthousing? I was thinking of applying either to Bymarken or Öster/Väster because I assume they're the closest. How long does it take for you to walk to school?

Hi! You could go for secondhand contract. You can look for groups in Facebook such as Lägenheter i Stockholm, Lediga lägenheter Stockholm, etc. Many members there are looking for tenants. 😊

Hi! Thank you 🤗 I have registered to a housing company. They choose their tenants randomly as long as you meet the requirements. But, i just want to say that I am not an international student, so maybe it will be a different process. 😊 Jönköping is a multicultural city, thanks to the university. So, I think wherever you live here would be perfect for you. ✨

Undergraduate programs in Sweden are free (meaning you don't have to pay any fees) only for swedish citizens and citizens of EU/EEA countries. If you are a student coming from a country other than those you will need to pay a tuition which could go up even to 20.000$ depending on the university and the program you choose

Hi! Sure. I got this apartment from Stockholm Housing Agency. You need to have Swedish Identity Number to register and be put in the queau. Then, you have to apply for student apartments via their website and they will contact you if you are one of the first in the queau. Their queau system is based on how long you’ve been registered. 😊

I registered even before I study at the university level. That was way back 2017. So, I waited about three years to get this apartment. 😊

Thank you! 🤗 My apartment is bigger than the student accommadation from the university, I suppose. It’s because most of the apartments from the university are around 19sqm-30sqm and some have to share bathroom and kitchen. I registered at different private housing agencies and waited in the queau. Some are first come, first served. And some just draw a random possible tenant. 😊
